Tech Chats

Join us for Carry On Chats

In partnership with the Office of Information Technology Services, the Director of Online Learning, the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning and the Faculty Technology Committee, we will continue to host small group chats to engage in casual conversations about how Faculty can be best supported to "Carry On" Teaching. You can see all sessions here: Carry On Tech Chat Registration or simply click on the individual link for the topic that interests you.

These chats continue to provide value to everyone involved. We appreciate faculty joining us to give us feedback and to support each other at this challenging time.  We welcome you to join us again or for the first time to be part of these valuable conversations and share your experiences.  If you learned something new or had an experience in your remote classes that you would like to share, we would love to have you join us!!

The Science of Learning & Some Applications

Presented by Michael Burke

This workshop will discuss some of the themes covered by the Teaching Professor Virtual Conference (2020), especially drawing upon recent research regarding the science of learning and how some of these techniques might be applied in the classroom. I will also discuss some basic points connected to transitioning to online learning.
